€50 million to support the creation of a network of cybersecurity competence centres across the EU

05/02/2018
Commission launches a call for proposals for a €50 million pilot to support the creation of a network of cybersecurity competence centres across the EU.

Building on the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda of the public-private partnership on cybersecurity, the winning consortia, including also university labs/public or private non-profit research centres, should develop a roadmap with clear milestones to tackle cybersecurity challenges in selected sectors through testing, research and innovation, and certification activities. This pilot project was announced in September 2017 together with a wide-ranging set of measures to equip Europe with the right tools to deal with cyber-attacks and to build strong cybersecurity in the EU. The project will be funded through the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme under the amended Work Programme 2018-2020. The call for proposals is open until 29 May 2018.
