The eco-innovation sales revenue in Europe had reached €227.000 million by 2008 corresponding to 2,2% of the European GDP. The sector represents 3.4 million direct workers. The European Union is aware of the importance of investment networks to foster the growth of this sector. By adopting this vision, the INNEON project aims to extend the long-term public and private available funding sources, in a sustainable way. In particular, the goal is that the eco-innovative companies achieve the most of European innovation funding opportunities, demand-driven. Finally, it aims to improve the flow and quality of operations for the benefit of entrepreneurs and investors.
- INNEON contributes to the development of a more competitive eco-innovation market in the EU
- It allows the development of a consolidated Community-wide network with financial public and private investors supporting eco-innovation all over Europe.
